If your BMI is less than 30 and you have isolated pockets of fat in the abdomen, thighs, upper arms, buttocks, or love handles, you will benefit from TriPollar treatment. The Tripollar Apollo can be used safely on all skin types.

People with a large amount of fat in the target area notice little improvement after treatment. Recent chemotherapy also reduces treatment benefits. Persons with vascular collagen disease experience little benefit because improvement depends on the body’s ability to make collagen in response to heat, and this ability may be impaired by collagen disease.

TriPollar tightens your skin, improves the appearance of cellulite, and enhances your overall body contours. It feels like a warm massage. After applying glycerin to your skin, the provider massages the area for 30 minutes with a three-pronged handpiece. The handpiece gently heats your skin to stimulate the growth of collagen, a protein in fibroblasts (skin cells) that tightens skin.

The TriPollar is used on one area at a time. You can expect tighter and firmer skin, a reduction in circumference, enhanced body contours, and an improvement in cellulite appearance in the treated area.

Both are minimal. Infection is rare because the skin is usually not broken. A few patients notice a blister, burn, or scab which heals in 2 to 14 days with regular use of an antibiotic ointment. A scar may occur in less than 1 in 20 treatments.

Yes. The VelaShape and Thermage are other choices available at Advanced Dermatology. The TriPollar technology has the advantage of generating more heat in a shorter time than other radiofrequency technologies. This feature shortens the treatment time.

Yes. TriPollar can be used in combination with other non-surgical methods if the combination will enhance your outcome. The choice depends on your age, degree of skin laxity, and other factors.

The cost depends on the area being treated and the number of treatments needed. For best results, we recommend our package of 6 weekly treatments. Since TriPollar is a cosmetic procedure, the cost is not covered by your insurance.
