Tushar Dabade, MD, FAAD , Board-Certified Dermatologist & Mohs Surgeon
Tushar Dabade, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist and Mohs surgeon with interests in surgical, medical, and cosmetic dermatology. Dr. Dabade graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of California, Berkeley, and completed medical school at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He then attended Tufts University School of Medicine for a dermatology residency. After practicing as a staff dermatologist at Northwestern Medical Group and a plastic surgery and dermatology clinic, Dr. Dabade pursued an additional year of fellowship training in Mohs micrographic and reconstructive surgery under the direction of Dr. Ashish Bhatia, working with faculty from Northwestern University and the University of Illinois.
Dr. Dabade’s goal is to have a positive impact on your quality of life – and knowing that the means to that end are different for each individual. It may entail meticulously removing skin cancer from one’s face, or learning the signs of melanoma during a mole examination. It could be using a new medication to finally get one’s acne under control, or softening skin lines with cosmetic treatments. Whatever the challenge, he has an empathetic ear and a thoughtful approach to caring for someone’s dermatologic needs.
Dr. Dabade has authored extensively in peer-reviewed medical journals, book chapters, and editorials, and has given national and international presentations on surgical techniques, psoriasis, eczema, acne, skin infections, patient education, and other dermatologic conditions. As a research fellow at Wake Forest University, he helped develop innovative dermatologic therapies, and as a clinician, he continuously seeks to incorporate novel treatments into his daily practice. Moreover, each patient is cared for as if they were a family member – in an ethical, non-judgmental, dignified, and warm-hearted way.
Dr. Dabade’s memberships include the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the International Immunosuppression and Transplant Skin Cancer Collaborative, and the Chicago Dermatological Society.
While away from the clinic, Dr. Dabade enjoys traveling to foreign countries and NFL stadiums with his wife, trying to cover Ed Sheeran on the guitar, and searching for some semblance of balance between fitness and foodie.
